IPL Information Processing, commonly known as IPL, is a British software services company providing business consultancy and technical consultancy, IT solutions and managed services to public and private sectors.[1] The company's headquarters are in the World Heritage City of Bath, England. As of 30 September 2008, IPL employed a staff of 249 and posted a turnover of £22.8 million.[2]

IPL was incorporated in England on 10 May 1979, and remains an owner-managed private company. In March 2008, the board and senior management completed a management buyout enabling the two remaining founders to take up non-executive roles.[3]
IPL’s core services business accounts for 80% of turnover and is derived from corporate customers in various sectors of the UK economy including: aerospace & defence, banking, converged telecoms, emergency services, government, transport and industry. IPL develops suites of software products including the testing tools Cantata, Cantata++ and AdaTEST95. The company is an authorised UK MoD defence contractor,[4] and an accredited supplier to UK government under the Catalist supply framework. They also sponsor the Bath Rugby union team. [5]
